New Releases: RHEL 9.6 and 10

Red Hat has provided two new releases of its Red Hat Enterprise Linux distribution: 9.6 and 10. See the RHEL 9.6 release notes, and the RHEL 10 release notes and blog entry.

Both releases ship, among many other highlights

  • support for the new IBM z17 and LinuxONE 5 machines, in particular:
    • AI Exploitation
    • New Secure Execution and Crypto features
    • Network Express support
  • support for vertical CPU polarization
