Webinar: Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Z Capacity Planning - Five Checkmarks You Don‘t Want to Miss

Abstract

One of the essential steps of every Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Z solutions today would be to plan for enough capacity in oder to avoid possible pitfalls during the proof-of-concept or production stage. However, it is not always just the amount of capacity which can cause headaches. Topics like sharing of resources, virtualization, overcommitment, LPAR weights, entitlements, polarization, and relative shares aren't really making things easier. This session aims to take you back to the roots of LPAR performance concepts and walk you through z/VM and KVM virtualization best practices - always by keeping a sharp focus on RHOCP on Z as the actual solution on top. The "Five Checkmarks" are an attempt to address the most common misconceptions in RHOCP on Z capacity planning and hopes to help IBMers worldwide in further accelerating the client adoption

This presentation is part of the regular technical Linux on IBM Z and LinuxONE webinar session series from the IBM Labs. Find all past sessions here.
