s390-tools v2.18 is out. This release is in support of Linux kernel 5.14.
One of the highlights is the auto-activation of PCI and crypto devices under DPM. Therefore, any of these devices defined for a Linux LPAR in DPM will be activated automatically as part of the boot process.
This processing can be suppressed by
specifying rd.zdev=no-auto on the kernel command line.
