Did you know...?

...that besides contributing to the regular updates of Linux distributions, like fixpacks, service packs and point releases, the Linux on Z development team also delivers bugfixes that become available to users through the ongoing, distro-specific update mechanisms as follows:
  • z-Stream in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • maintweb updates in SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES)
  • SRU updates in Canonical's Ubuntu
Therefore, we strongly encourage Linux on Z users to keep their systems up to date and apply these updates whenever they become available to avoid issues that are already fixed!
